Andy Vivian Palacio was a Belizean singer and musician. Born December 2, 1960 in Barranco, a coastal town in Belize, died on January 19, 2008. Palacio achieved fame in the late 80's, when he became the most famous musician in Belize and a major proponent of Garifuna culture. The orchestra of Palacio, called the Garifuna Collective, invented "punta rock", music inspired by traditional dance of the Garifunas. Palacio sang in Garifuna, arawakano, Spanish and English. Was designated Belize's cultural ambassador, Palacio was also deputy administrator of the National Institute of Culture and History of his country.

THE AMAZING BELIZE
Belize is a little country in Central America, coastal of the Caribbean sea, it's limited with Mexico to the north and Guatemala to the west and south. Separated from Honduras by 75 kms of distance in the most close point between both nations, separated by the Honduras's Gulf, to the east. Belize was knew like British Honduras and the coloquial name is of the Belize City and of the river Belize. Belize City is the city most big of the country, the principal port and his oldest capital.
Belize is ubicated between the rivers Hondo and Sarstoon, with the river of Belize flowing in the center of the country. Throughout the entire Caribbean coast are coral reefs. Belize is home to the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere and the second longest in the world after the Great Barrier Reef.
