The sand

The most common component of sand, on the mainland and in non-tropical coasts, is silica, usually in the form of quartz. However, the composition varies according to resources and local conditions of the rock. Much of the sand found in coral reefs, for example, is ground limestone that has passed through the digestion of parrotfish. In some places there is sand containing iron, feldspar, or even plaster.

Depending on the type of rock it comes from, the sand can vary greatly in appearance. For example, the volcanic sand is black while the sandy beaches with coral reefs is usually white.

The sand is transported by wind, also called aeolian sand (possibly causing the phenomenon known as haze) and water, and deposited as beaches, dunes, dunes, and so on. In the desert, sand is the most abundant type of soil. The grain of sand is highly concentrated wind around 0.2 mm diameter particles.

Especially the children use sand to make buildings like sand castles or tunnels. The floor of the beach is sandy and wet and on the surface is dry and hot.
